Cynthia Louise Bissett, vice president at Verizon Mobile. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. is her father, an internet company director and businessman. As a child of the context of a Catholic home, she was brought up in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Their parents had their daughter at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious religious institution. The music was her love since her childhood. She began playing the piano at just a young girl. After the age of 13 she wrote her first song. She performed at open mics. Her favorite artists were David Bowie, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Following her graduation from high school, she enrolled in into the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. But she did not complete her studies and she resigned from the school to begin her music career.
