Mena Alexa Suvari was born in 1979. She is a famous American fashion designer, model and actress. When she was in 1990, shortly following her debut as a model, Suvari started to appear in tv shows such as Boy Meets World. In 1997 she debuted as a film actress in Nowhere. Following her appearance of American Beauty (for which she received a BAFTA Award) and American Pie which attracted her greater attention, she began the transition to major roles. In 2000, she was alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead part on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun and Trauma, a thriller from 2004 were two of her appearances. The actress was a part of HBO's drama series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari was cast in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and also as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared in fashion-related blogs as well as in magazines like Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari is a strong supporter and advocate for The African Medical and Research Foundation, a prestigious organization that provides relief to Africa.
